It seems to me that I've gotten into my niche at Wingteam. Recently my only projects have been working on grids and doing payroll to the staff that just worked the event. Finally I have mastered an area of the office!
Just to explain a little.....For each event Wingteam (me! :)) puts together a grid. This grid contains the name, contact information and a little bit about each staff member that would make them suitable for the job. This information then gets sent to our client. It has become my job to go through each staff member's resume and find pertinent information that relates them to the job they will be working. This all gets put together in an Excel spreadsheet and then sent to our client.
For payroll each staff member that has successfully completed their job has to send a time sheet via email. From this we take the hours and the rate and find out how much to pay them. I then record this, write a check, fill out a thank you card, label and stamp the envelope and send off the card. This sounds easy enough but for some reason many staff members don't follow through completely and we have to "track" them down to get the time sheet.
I really like this part of my job, it lets me virtually meet the staff members that are working events all over the country and find out the awesome jobs, endeavours, and such that they have been involved with in the past.
